My First Ticket

My usual charm is not that effective anymore.

This traffic enforcer flagged me down last Saturday and asked for my license. I asked him what's my violation and he said I was obstructing traffic. Duh! I stopped because he asked me to stop. Though I reasoned endlessly with him, he still gave me a ticket. I was so pissed off. The weird thing was he gave me back my license after I threatened him. (If push comes to shove, threats should substitute charms.)

I think he gave me a bogus ticket. Oh well...I don't really care...as long as I have my license...everything should be fine.

People always turn up when they are expected

This is the last sentence from Paulo Coelho's The Pilgrimage:

"And when I think about it, I guess it is true that people always arrive at the right moment at the place where someone awaits them."
